New year, new standards. Use this to get your marketing basics in line this month.

1. Know Your Numbers (for THIS month)

Monthly revenue goal: $__________

Average sale amount: $__________

Now do the math:

  • # of sales needed: Monthly goal ÷ average sale = ________ sales

  • Estimate # of leads needed: (Example: If 1 out of 3 leads becomes a sale) Sales needed × 3 = ________ leads

I know my revenue goal.

I know how many sales I need.

I have a rough idea of how many leads I need.

2. Clarify Your Focus Offer

What are the top 1–2 offers/services you want to sell this month?

For each one, jot this down:

  • Who is it for?

  • What problem does it solve?

  • What result does it give them?

I know exactly what I’m trying to sell.

I know who it’s for and why they should care.

3. Set Your Weekly Marketing Non-Negotiables

Pick 2–3 actions you will commit to every week for the next 30 days.

Examples:

  • Post 3x a week on __________

  • Share 1 proof/review post per week

  • Send 1 email to my list per week

  • Ask 3 past customers for reviews each week

  • Follow up with 5 leads each week

My Weekly Non-Negotiables:

I have a simple weekly plan.

My actions match the leads I say I want.

4. Quick Foundations Check

Circle yes or no:

  • My website clearly says what I do & how to contact me. YES / NO

  • My Google Business / main listing has correct hours & contact info. YES / NO

  • My last social post was within the last 7 days. YES / NO

If you circled “NO” anywhere, add one quick fix for this week:

5. End-of-Month Debrief (Save this part)

At the end of the month, answer:

  • Did I hit my revenue goal? YES / NO

  • How many leads did I actually get? __________

  • Which marketing actions actually worked? _____________________

  • What will I keep / stop / start next month? ___________________

I’m building better decisions from real data, not vibes.

That’s it. Simple, clear, and repeatable.

New Year, New Marketing Strategies for Home Services

As we step into the new year, it’s time to elevate our marketing game. The home services industry is competitive, and standing out is crucial. Let’s dive into some strategies that can help you refine your marketing approach.

Understand Your Market

Before you can sell effectively, you need to understand your market. Research your competitors. What are they doing well? Where do they fall short? This insight can guide your marketing decisions.

Leverage Local SEO

Local SEO is essential for home service businesses. Optimize your website for local searches. Use keywords relevant to your services and location. This will help you attract more local customers. For example, if you’re in the plumbing sector, include phrases like “plumber in Jackson, TN.”

Create Engaging Content

Content marketing is a powerful tool. Create blog posts, videos, or infographics that address common questions or problems in your industry. This not only positions you as an expert but also drives traffic to your site.

Utilize Social Media

Social media is a great platform to showcase your work. Share before-and-after photos, customer testimonials, and tips related to your services. Engaging with your audience can build trust and encourage referrals.

Email Marketing

Don’t underestimate the power of email marketing. Send regular newsletters with updates, promotions, and valuable content. This keeps your business top-of-mind for potential customers.

Track Your Progress

As you implement these strategies, track your progress. Use analytics tools to measure website traffic, social media engagement, and email open rates. This data will help you refine your marketing efforts over time.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the new year is an excellent opportunity to reassess and enhance your marketing strategies. By understanding your market, leveraging local SEO, creating engaging content, utilizing social media, and tracking your progress, you can set your home service business up for success.

Let’s make this year the best one yet!

Remember, the key to effective marketing is consistency and adaptability. Stay committed to your goals, and don’t hesitate to adjust your strategies as needed. Here’s to a successful year ahead!
